Álvarez, Andrés Antonio

The coast of Sucre state, Venezuela is the first artistic framework of this naive artist born in 1939 in the town of Los Altos de Cumana. Armas, Enrico

This artist was born in Caracas in 1957. Bassim, Francisco Javier (Goma)

Barreto, Luis

Becerra, Milton

Benaím, Ricardo

Berman, Marietta

Bernardes, Daro

This painter born in Mirasol, state of Sao Paulo, Brazil, in 1946 reveals a romantic profile for excellence in the creation of female figures. Bogarín, Rafael

Bornhuetter, Robert

Burle Marx, Roberto

Capecchi, Blanca

Carrasquel, José

Carvallo, Feliciano

Castro, José Joaquín

This Venezuelan photographer born in Caracas in 1930 captures a different light in each of his works. Castro, Paulo

Cortesi, Renato

Venezuelan born in Brescia, Italy. Is formed at the School of Plastic Arts Cristobal Rojas, workshops Vasquez Brito, Guevara Moreno, Regulo Perez and Oswaldo Subero and engraving, silkscreen and woodcut at the Simon Bolivar University. Dávila, José Antonio

De Faria, Ghilherme

Del Río, Paúl

Gallac, Malina

Gil, Elena

Gorodine, Alexis

Harding, Rodolfo

It is considered one of the greatest exponents of the Chilean School of Realism. Rodolfo Harding was born in Santiago de Chile. Herrera, Octavio

Heyer, Eifriedde

Hung, Francisco (Chino Hung)

Inaty, Belén Helena

Born in Caracas in 1955. His artistic training was consolidated in the sixties and seventies in Naples in the Artistic Lyceum of Rome in the West Surrey College of Art and Design of Surrey in England and Epson School of Art and Design, also in England. In 1975 participates in a student collective at West Surrey College of Art & Design in England and four years later exposes individually in the Gallery of YMCA in Caracas, he participates in the National Exhibition of Young Artists of CANTV, Caracas and at the Biennale of young Artists of La Guaira, specializing in sculpture. Larisch, Kurt

Kurt Larisch was born in Vienna, Austria in 1913, he came from a family with three generations dedicated to art. The sculpture workshop of his grandfather and study photography and painting from his father became his first school. Larish became interested in the field of animated film, advertising and had to emigrate to England and India to the political instability in Europe. At the same time he continued to work in painting and participated in several solo exhibitions until it took up residence in the United States and went to Mexico in search of inspiration. Vibrant colors, geometric shapes, surreal images and optical illusions let flow his viewpoint on civilization and dehumanization of the world. His universal message is exposed in Mexico, Canada, France, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Costa Rica, Venezuela, Panama, India, and Britain. Latorraca, Joaquín

Born in Ciudad Bolivar, Venezuela. Art School Armando Reveron Ciudad Bolivar serves as a starting point for training that will lead to enamel on metal workshops and courses in Caracas free paint. Lima, Eduardo

Born in 1954 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. From 1973 to 1977 is influenced teacher Waldemar da Costa, Brazilian trainer of many contemporary artists with European techniques of 20 and 30. López Méndez, Luis Alfredo

Born in 1901 and died in 1996. This lays the foundation of Caracas called Circle of Fine Arts and the School of Caracas. Technical surprises with its colorful teenager. Political reasons forced him to take up residence abroad which makes its mark as an illustrator for Vogue and acts as the advertising and educational world. After his long journey through Cuba, Mexico, United States, Greece, Spain and France returns to Venezuela, to the death of President Juan Vicente Gomez. Among the awards received are the National Prize for Painting in 1943, Antonio Herrera Toro Award in 1957 and Armando Reveron Award in 1987.

Mabe, Manabú

Born in Japan in 1924 and died in Sao Paulo in 1997. Mabe arrives at ten to Brazil, accompanied by his family and integrated coffee plantations. Mabe recognize its share in the joys and sorrows, in war and peace, in the socio-economic imbalances of his time and called "The Samurai of painting". At 22, he starts painting oil on canvas, fruits and landscapes details of the colony and in 1953 was beginning to worry more for the color. Manasero, María Luisa

Mata, Sergio

Draftsman, painter, sculptor and engraver Brazilian. Born in Sao Paulo in 1948. His early works include medical surgical illustrate publications in the seventies. Morales, Elsa

Moreno Reverón, Edgar

Study at the School of Visual Arts Christopher Rojas between 1962 and 1964, counseled by Professor Omar Carreño in university classrooms from 1969 to 1971. Later part of Spain with a grant from the National Council for Culture and the Gran Mariscal Foundation Ayacucho. In Madrid, he studied with Professor Roger García Vásquez and delves into contemporary art in the painting workshop Soto Meza in the early eighties. Participates in the first Biennial of Public Administration Employees in 1973, in the Hall of Art CANTV, "the city that does not return" in 1975. It is the representative of Venezuela in the exhibition "Actual Painting" in the collective organized by the Spanish cities of Alicante and Murcia in 1982, among other exhibits. His work is represented in major public and private collections.

Navarrete, Elda

This Venezuelan artist, born in Merida received his first painting lessons tutor E. Sarikian in Tehran in the late sixties. Opitz, Eugenio

Oramas Maza, Sandro

Ordaz, Freddy

Palacios, Alirio

Born in Tucupita in 1944. It is one of the Venezuelan artists of greatest projection abroad. His works have been performed in Switzerland, Geneva, New York, Miami and international auction houses, Sotheby's and Christie's offer them to its customers since 1985. Palacios, Luisa (Nena Palacios)

Pardo, Mercedes

Born in Caracas in 1921 and died in San Antonio de Los Altos, Miranda state in 2005. "My colors are vital: talk, they fight and sing like people." With that verbal brushstrokes Mercedes Prado defines his work evolves from informalism to the so-called lyrical abstraction. This artist gets a solid education in the School of Fine and Applied Arts of Caracas, at the Ecole du Louvre and at the workshop of Andre Lhote in Paris. Pereira, Myrna

Born in Caracas, Venezuela in 1952. Taking the path of naive art and develops large colorful themes. Pérez, Eleuterio

Pérez, Jorge (Zerep)

Pérez, Régulo

Born in 1929 in Caicara del Orinoco, Bolivar State. He grows painting bars, designing lottery tickets and other orders of their neighbors. Produces humorous cartoons pages of major Venezuelan publications. Later, it gives formality to their ingenuity in the School of Plastic Arts of Caracas and is active in La Barraca de Maripérez and Free Art Workshop. He completed his training in Rome, Paris and in the late fifties was director of the School of Arts at the University of Los Andes and then deputy director of the School Cristobal Rojas. Petrovich, Wlastimir

Petrovvszky, Iván

Pristowscheg

Stage name of Giuseppe Lupo (Rome 1937), artist and photographer. He graduate electrical engineer at the University of Padua (Italy). Lives and works in Caracas (Venezuela) since 1970. His art evolved from black and white to color and from there to the creation of computer-assisted image, allowing you to express your emotions in a more universal way. Using the mouse as a paintbrush and monitor as canvas, he developed his unusual and very personal form of abstraction. With a constant, careful, attentive and imaginative exploration, discover hidden behind silhouettes of photographic images "raw". Quilici, Pancho

The draftsman, printmaker and painter born in Caracas, Venezuela in 1954. Alirio Palacios, Palacios and Luisa Luisa Richter among others, shape their talent in his youth from the Centre of Graphic Education. In 1978 he won the First Prize of Engraving Bernardo Rubinstein Hall Arturo Michelena of Valencia, scholarship allowing him to travel to Paris, where he will be established definitively. Quintana Castillo, Manuel

Born in Caucagua, Edo Miranda, 1928. Marcos Castillo, Luis Alfredo Lopez Mendez and Rafael Monasterios, they direct their first steps in his painting. When running the fifties, Master Quintana Castillo explores the geometry influences Paul Klee and Rufino Tamayo and give proper expression to new trends. Important national prizes are awarded, representing Venezuela in the Biennials of Venice and Sao Paulo and accumulated experiences as a teacher in the School of Fine and Applied Arts. Ramos, Alejandro

Born in Barcelona, Anzoátegui state in 1960. Between 1973 and 1977 attends the School of Visual Arts Armando Reveron his hometown, and enter later in the Expertise Centre Cegra Graphic Arts in Caracas. Reynas, Hernán

Rivera, Secundino

Rojas, Carlos Germán

Photographer and painter, was born in Caracas in 1953. Take the power in their initial geometric paintings. Romero, Gisela

Born in Caracas, Venezuela in 1960. Also he studied literature at the Central University of Venezuela. In 1994 he received the Ferro de Venezuela in the XXII National Hall of Arts of Fire and in 2000 won the Prix II Experimental Print Biennial Caracas.

Salazar, Solange

"After I raised my children I just started doing what I wanted, to paint," says the Caracas naif painter. Salles, Guyer

Sánchez, Antolín

Suárez, Hernán

Born in Trujillo, Venezuela in 1946. He makes his first studies in the School of Plastic Arts of Caracas and manages extensive skill as a painter and draftsman. Suarez has been recognized as one of the leading exponents of watercolor and landscape in the country. Subero, Oswaldo

Born in Caracas in 1934. He is considered one of the most important contemporary artists Venezuelans. Molded in the School of Fine and Applied Arts of Caracas, the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome and the courses of Art Frank Popper French teacher at the University of Vincennes, Paris, Subero is identified with the constructivist geometric abstraction and converts wood, canvas, paper, acrylic, metal chromium in the words of its rich artistic discourse. Trompiz, Virgilio

The woman is the focus of the work of this Venezuelan born in Coro, Falcon State in 1927. Valera, Víctor

It was the first Venezuelan to use iron in his sculptures. Valera was born in Maracaibo in 1927. After studying in his hometown and Caracas, he traveled to Paris in 1950, where he attended workshops Dewasne, Vasarely and Fernand Léger. His long career has made him pass through constructivist and figurative periods, to find expression in free geometric shapes in their most recent creations. Valladares, Beatriz

Vásquez Brito, Ramón

Born in Porlamar in 1927 and is formed under the gaze of Antonio Edmundo Monsanto at the School of Plastic Arts of Caracas. His first strokes seek identification with Cézanne and André Lothe and over the years take the road to the Cubist figuration. The short experience in geometric abstraction with intent mural consumed in Vasquez Brito to return to the traditional easel painting in the sixties. Vigas, Oswaldo

Born in Valencia in 1926. In 1952 he obtained the Arturo Michelena Award in the University of Valencia and the National Arts Award. At age 25, with a job he settled in Paris and studied at l'Ecole des Beaux Arts, in the workshops of lithography and engraving of Marcel Jaudon and Stanley William overcast. His work includes painting, graphic arts, murals, tapestry, ceramics and sculpture. With more than sixty solo exhibitions in galleries and museums both in Venezuela and abroad, his works are in private collections around the world public. In 1990 MACCSI makes a retrospective of his work from 1942 to 1990. Villegas, Manuel

Zabala, Inca

Zapata, Pedro León
